Briere going to Phantoms for 2 games

Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren made the following announcement minutes ago: “Tomorrow (January 14) the Philadelphia Flyers will loan Danny Briere to our American Hockey League affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms, for a brief conditioning stint. We are doing this just to make sure everything is okay with Danny. This will give him the opportunity to play in some games prior to re-joining the Flyers. He will play two games with the Phantoms on Wednesday and Friday.
