Why Briere Can't Play

It was a bizarre morning skate with Danny Briere saying he could play tonight against Montreal but that John Stevens wanted to wait on the decision to announce it until game time. What we didn't know was that Kimmo Timonen would come off the ice and say he was still flu-ridden and couldn't play. That meant another d-man had to go in the lineup.
