Andreas Nodl was called up for tonight's game against the Boston Bruins. I am reporting on CSNPhilly.com that I believe this is related to an injury involving Riley Cote, who got hurt in a fight with Joel Rechlicz in Saturday's win against the Islanders. Nodl called up by Flyers

Paul Holmgren will address the reason for this callup before tonight's game: The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have recalled forward Andreas Nodl on emergency conditions from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms, according to club General Manager Paul Holmgren. Nodl will be available to play in tonight’s Flyers-Boston Bruins game at the Wachovia Center and will wear uniform #14. Nodl, 22, has a goal and three assists for four points and two penalty minutes in 31 games with the Flyers this season, his first in the NHL. In 39 games with the Phantoms, he has six goals and 14 assists for 20 points and 20 penalty minutes

Flyers LW Riley Cote sat out Sunday night’s game after injuring his finger in a fight with New York Islanders tough guy Joel Rechlicz. In his place, the Flyers recalled LW Andreas Nodl from the Phantoms and played him on a line with C Darroll Powe and LW Dan Carcillo. … Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said he is finished trying to talk top prospect James vanRiemsdyk to turn pro and will wait for the University of New Hampshire sophomore to announce his decision, which could come in a matter of days.
