Flyers, Knuble still talking

With Wednesday's free agency period looming, the Flyers and Mike Knuble continue contract talks today. The Flyers are believed to be offering an incentive-based one-year dea with a base salary in the $1 million range. Knuble likely is seeking a two-year agreement with a higher base salary, probably in the $2 million range. The Flyers have about $5 million to spend and need to find a backup goaltender and would like to add an inexpensive fourth-line center who can win draws, much Jim Dowd two years ago.
