My picks for tonight’s NHL Awards

Jack Adams Trophy (Best Coach): Claude Julien, Bruins; Andy Murray, Blues; Todd McLellan, Sharks The Bruins won the East; the Sharks won the West, so this is really a two-horse race. McLellan finally took the Sharks where everyone knew their talent could take them. Julien injected life back into the Bruins, taking them from eighth place last season to first this year.

Cherry Hill’s Ryan up for Rookie of Year tonight

Cherry Hill's Bobby Ryan has a shot at winning the Calder Trophy as NHL's Rookie of the Year tonight in Las Vegas. Ryan is competing against favorite Steve Mason of the Columbus Blue Jackets and Kris Versteeg of the Chicago Blackhawks. The awards show can be seen tonight on Versus beginning at 7 pm

Flyers captain Richards a finalist for Selke Trophy, to be presented tonight

Flyers captain Mike Richards will be in Las Vegas tonight for the NHL awards ceremony. Richards is a finalist for the Selke Trophy, given to the top defensive forward. Richards was a plus-22 this season and led the league with seven shorthanded goals.
