A Bully's Impact

The 1972-73 Philadelphia Flyers more than earned the nickname The Broad Street Bullies. Just the season before the Flyers had finished 6th among the 14 teams in the league with 45 fighting majors. When the last punch was thrown in ’73 the Flyers had tallied 95 fights while the second place Bruins had only 47.
