Dave Poulin, the great Flyers captain from the 80s, has accepted a position with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Brian Burke, not stopping at adding character guys on the ice, is now filling the board room with the type of people that will turn that franchise around. Poulin was wearing the 'C' the first time I saw a Flyers game, and is one of my all-time favorite Flyers. Congrats to Dave Poulin, and here's hoping that Paul Holmgren can tickle-torture some Leafs secrets out of him in the upcoming months

It is being thrown around the online Flyers community that GM Paul Holmgren has yet to conclude his offseason shopping. According to multiple sources, including Anthony SanFilippo of the Delaware County Daily Times, the Flyers are expected to sign defenseman Olef Tollefsen to a contract pending a physical that will be conducted this week

We’d never claim to be any sort of news source but we would definitely claim to be a current Flyer fighting a possible future Flyer clip…source or something. Philabright is reporting that Anthony SanFillipo is reporting that an unnamed source from the Flyers is reporting that Ole-Kristian Tollefson is coming into Philly this week for a physical because, you’d assume, Paul Holmgren is interest in possible signing the 25 year old bluelineman. You can read the details on either of those sites, but you can wacth OKT fight Daniel Carcillo right here: Not bad at all. It would be nice to have a defenseman that could compliment our Bash Brothers meets Slap Shot offensive unit.
