Flyers deal Ratchuk for Legein

By CHUCK GORMLEY Courier-Post Staff The Flyers took a bit of a gamble Tuesday by sending defensive prospect Mike Ratchuk to the Columbus Blue Jackets for right wing Stefan Legein, a prospect who quit hockey less than a year ago. Ratchuk, a second-round pick of the Flyers (42 nd overall) in 2006, can skate like the wind, but is small by NHL standards and has a tendency to neglect his defensive responsibilities. Legein, 20, quit hockey midway through last season after 26 games with the AHL Syracuse Crunch. Legein is a feisty, in-your-face forward, but lacked some of those qualities before walking away from the game last January. He’ll report to the Adirondack Phantoms
