Simon Gagne still has some issues going on in his right groin/hip, apparently. That's why he played just one shift in the third period of Sunday's loss to San Jose and that's why he is "doubtful" according to GM Paul Holmgren for tomorrow's game at Washington. Gagne is undergoing an ultra sound today to determine if this is all related to his previous groin pull or last May's hip surgery.

Flyers left wing Simon Gagne, who took just one shift in the third period in Sunday night's 5-1 loss to the Sharks, sat out Monday's practice and had an ultrasound performed on his groin area. Gagne is off to the slowest start of his career with one goal in nine games. Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said Gagne "just doesn't feel right" and is unlikely to play against the Capitals Tuesday night. Holmgren said he will not make a roster move to replace Gagne, which means Scott Hartnell likely will take his spot on a line with Mike Richards and Mika Pyorala.
