Former Flyer Update: James Wuundermeer

Last night former Flyer project for a hot minute Jim Vandermeer doubled his season's goal output with opening and closing tallies in a 3-2 overtime win over the impressively horrible Anaheim Ducks. Vandermeer has been hanging steady as the Coyotes sixth defenseman all year, and has helped a franchise that no one saw competing to a 15-11-1 mark through 27 games this season - including a 3-1 win over our beloved Flyers. To tell you the truth, I can't believe he's in the NHL still. But I guess I have to give credit where credit's due. He's done a formidable job of carving out a niche as a well-traveled stop gap in your final defensive spot. But get this - this wine stopper makes $2.3M a year. It's unbelievable on two counts
