He has been snippy towards the media for the past two weeks. His play has been a downward spiral since his stellar start. Everytime a question was brought to him regarding an injury, Emery would just stare into the space and give no answer. Well the answer is quite clear now. The Philadelphia Flyers have placed goaltender Ray Emery on injured reserve per club GM Paul Holmgren. Emery will undergo surgery Wednesday to repair a tear in abdomen. He will miss a minimum of six weeks.
