Winter Classic Q&A

An Interview With: DON RENZULLI and DAN CRAIG DON RENZULLI: Well, most of the stuff outside is pretty much done from a construction standpoint. The last video board went up last night. We are starting to tweak it and fine tune that now. You'll see a lot of decor going up. Like I said yesterday, the entire outside of the building is complete. We are now looking to finish off the inside. We have the building department and all of the city officials coming tomorrow to do our walk?through

Flyers Thinking Rangers First, Winter Classic After

VOORHEES, NJ- Of course all the thoughts headed into this week was the 2010 Bridgestone Winter Classic. To the media the Flyers and Bruins opponents before New Years day have become almost after thoughts. In the case of Philadelphia, the Rangers have the utmost priority. Focus has to 100 percent remain on New York tomorrow at the Garden. The Flyers are only two points back from tying the Rangers for third place in the Atlantic as we reach the midway point of the season. So yes, these two points mean more than the Winter Classic right now

All the Hockey in the World

I'm in a hockey vacuum. And it doesn't make sense. The Winter Classic is 3 days away. We're in the middle of the World Juniors. There's an international tournament in Switzerland. Olympic rosters are being named. The Flyers, after a horrible losing streak, have managed to string three wins together while up against some pretty significant goaltending injuries and my sister even got me the best tickets I've ever had to a hockey game in my life tomorrow night at MSG

A Streak?

Perhaps, just perhaps the Flyers have turned the corner. I won't believe it until after we change the wall calendar to 2010. If over the course of the next two games the Flyers are able to play like we think they should then I will believe in a new streak of wins and not of losses. The question is now after teams have started to make moves (ie Caps and Jackets) does Homer feel even more pressure to make his move. A little tinkering will happen it is a question of major changes. He has staked his claim for a championship by the way the team has been built.
