Fresh Start at Home

The Flyers need a fresh start at home. Tonight they welcome the Jackets and former coach Hitch. This home stand is very important. The Flyers have slipped back out of the playoffs and need to make a solid push prior to the Olympics. I still feel this team is a trade away with the current lineup. I don't think our third d-pair of Bartulis and OKT is good enough on most nights. The game against Washington showed how to exploit this.

Stevens Takes Job With Versus

Former Flyers coach John Stevens is scheduled to make his debut as a television analyst on Monday, Jan. 25 when he serves as an in-studio guest for the Versus telecast of the Penguins-Rangers game, the Courier-Post has learned. Stevens, who was fired by the Flyers on Dec. 4, has committed to work four regular season games for Versus, with the opportunity to add playoff games as well. Stevens, 43, has also accepted a part-time position as a Flyers scout. His contract with the Flyers runs through the 2010-11 season
