Betts signed a 2-year extension with the Philadelphia Flyers worth $1.4 million. The cap hit will be around $700,000 yearly. The 29-year-old has proven his worth this season by being the club’s best faceoff man and top penalty killer. He signed 0n to the Flyers as a tryout this offseason and has turned out to be a gold mine. GM Paul Holmgren really hit a homerun on this signing.
