Flyers Win, Elias Looks for Jock
Photo:
Gags... overtime... top shelf... golden. The elation that all Flyers fans felt last night with that goal... well... if I wasn't so old and unlimber, I'd have done a back flip. That goal was beautiful.

Meltzer's Musings: 2-11-10
My biggest frustration in watching the Flyers season has been that we all know the club is capable of playing at a level where it seems able to compete with any team in the NHL and is equally capable of looking like it would struggle against a determined AHL team. How could the same Flyers team that looked so inept offensively against the likes of Edmonton and Minnesota's third-string goaltender

Former Pro Goalie Denis Lemieux with Last Night's Recap
Number 19 come down the ice and he shot the puck and it go in. Sometime that happen. 1-0 Devil. Number 21 pass the puck toward the net and the stupid Finnish pig defenseman with no brains kick it in past the goalie. 2-0 Devil. Number 45 get the puck and shoot it and the stupid English defenseman get his big cock, like a horse, in the way and deflect it past the goalie and, you know, the puck go in the net

Emery season in jeopardy? Gagne OT hero
As of late Wednesday night the news on Flyers goaltender Ray Emery was no different than it was 24 hours earlier when general manager Paul Holmgren said he had not received complete results from an MRI taken Monday on Emery’s left hip. Confused? The Flyers might be as well as they try to determine whether Emery needs surgery to repair what could be a torn labrum in his hip or he would be better off resting the injury and trying to return after the Olympic break. Regardless, it appears the Flyers will stick with Michael Leighton for the final two games of the pre-Olympic schedule, at home against Montreal on Friday night and in Montreal on Saturday. With a 3-2 overtime win against the Devils Wednesday Leighton improved to 12-5-1 since joining the Flyers off the waiver wire in mid-December. His play has helped stamp out rumors that Marty Turco may be a Flyer before Friday’s trade freeze. “I’m not sure how bad (Emery) is hurt and how long it’s going to go on, but it’s got to be frustrating for him because he was playing really good and the team was playing good in front of him,†Leighton said. “I’m really not trying to think about that

Devils Fan Letting Us Know
As Chico Resche goes on his 8th tangent about the Devils letting fans at The Rock all come down to the lower level, which I thought was pretty cool of them, this guy in the goofy gear strikes a blow for all NHL fans, and lets us know exactly what Sean Avery spent most of his time doing at GQ:
Sorry about the quality, it's from my iPhone. Yes, I'm cool now. Or have joined the 18th century, depending on how you look at it.
