Holmgren: Carter out 6 weeks, Gagne out 3

Just got off the phone with Paul Holmgren, who said Jeff Carter and Simon Gagne will undergo surgeries on their right feet on Friday. Carter will have a plate inserted into his right foot and will be on crutches for 6 weeks, likely putting him out of the remainder of the playoffs. Carter, Gagne to miss Game 5 with foot injuries

JEFF CARTER It’s tough. It feels like I just got off (crutches). It’s definitely disappointing. I felt like I was starting to get back into my groove and get some jump in my game. To have a setback like this is tough. It’s hockey, I guess. Which part of the foot?

Playoffs and Work

So I am torn between being able to post anything reasonable about the playoffs and designating the time needed and the amount of time I am spending at work. Right now the time is hitting with work. I will say that the Flyers play resembles that of their play prior to the Olympics then after the Olympics. It is great to see Boucher play so well and Carcillo play well. The next guy that needs to exercise a few demons is Hartnell. He has had a horrid year and I would like to see him be able to score a couple of goals. His play lately has looked like he has hands of stone. Pucks are bouncing off of his stick and he is turning it over
