So the Flyers decided to resign goaltender Michael Leighton , for $3.1M over 2 years. If they’re making him a back-up, then that’s fine. But if they expect him to start, then I’m not happy about it.  The only stretch of hockey that he looked solid was the Boston series and the Montreal series. He was horrible in the finals, and during the regular season his numbers are a lot better than he actually looked.  Could he be a really late bloomer that finally emerges as an excellent goalie? I doubt it.  The way things look now, I’m not too happy. Brian Boucher is still under contract as well, making this an interesting situation.  The Flyers are still rumored to be sifting through the free agent pile. If so, they’re probably looking for a real starter.  I love Boosh, and I think he’s better than Leighton , but I guess the Flyers see it differently.  So if we get another goalie, it’s bye-bye Boucher . Admittedly, he’s not the answer to our problems, and he was very inconsistent all season long
