Pronger Goes Cheap and Lame as Opposed to Cheap and Viscous

I'm not going to play the homer card on this one - that was lame. space When I first heard about it I hoped that Pronger was directing the puck around the zone or trying to remember if he put deodorant on, but no, caught up in the moment, Chris Pronger got a little over-zealous and stepped outside of the game. The worst part was that in the end it wouldn't have mattered. Pronger always plays on the edge, almost breaking a number of rules, but I, and I'm sure the fans of Philadelphia, much prefer the ankle stomping, elbow throwing, hard ass rule bending to the reverse Avery2.0 with a half twist and tuck. I wonder how that even got into his head.

I don’t want to get into a he-said she-said with the refs. And I’m the he’ - Chris Pronger Rightfully pissed of Flyers defenseman Every hockey fans knows what the Sean Avery rule is. When screening the goalie, you can do it with your body, by planting yourself in front of the net.  You can’t waive your stick or hands in front of the goalies face to distract him. Today, the refs ridiculously misinterpreted and misapplied that rule to deny the Flyers an overtime win

Inside Flyers’ 3-2 shootout loss to Calgary

The Flyers’ power play units continued to struggle in their 3-2 loss to the Calgary Flames on Friday, going 0-for-6 in 10:14 of power-play time and allowing a shorthanded goal. They are now just 1-for-32 over the past six games.
