Heading into last night's game in Montreal, I was very concerned about the potential for a letdown game. Everything was lined up in the Habs' favor. The Flyers were playing on back-to-back nights while Montreal was rested and prepared, Philly was coming off a marquee game against Pittsburgh while the Canadiens' lone focus since Saturday had been on getting ready to play the Flyers

Pronger injured in 5-3 win in Montreal

Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger did not play in the final period of the Flyers’ win in Montreal because of what the club called a lower body injury. Pronger underwent reconstructive surgery on his right knee over the summer and missed the first two games of the season. He leads all Flyers defensemen in points with 15. If Pronger cannot play Saturday against the Rangers, look for Oskars Bartulis to see his first NHL action since Nov. 1

Flyers Give Pens Reality Check

The Penguins came to our house last night, bringing with them a 12 game win streak. Crosby said that because we’re the defending conference champs, we’re the team to beat. The Crying One’s words turned out a bit prophetic on this night, as the Flyers dominated up and down the ice throughout most of the game. Most importantly, we got the 3-2 win and sole possession of 1st place in the NHL.
