First off, why am I saying Holiday Tree and not Christmas tree. Simple, I’m Jewish and from Ukraine. In Russia, the Christmas tree was banned shortly after the October Revolution but then reinstated as a New-year fir-tree in 1935.

Yes, the Flyers lost 5-0 to the Panthers last night. Trap game? Maybe. But before they finally run away to open present boxes filled with skate warmer’s, Russian-English dictionary’s, and Sing-a-ma-jig’s, they have one more show to put on. Tonight, 17,000 free tickets have been given out for the teams skills competition .
