Timonen injured in Flyers’ loss to Canucks

The worst news to come out of the Flyers’ 6-2 loss in Vancouver was that D Kimmo Timonen suffered what GM Paul Holmgren termed a “lower body injury” in the third period. Timonen took just three shifts in the final period and was scheduled to be re-evaluated on Wednesday. He played in all 82 games last season and all 36 games this season and was leading all Flyers in average ice time (22:21) prior to his injury. If Timonen is sidelined, look for recently re-acquired Danny Syvret to be recalled from the AHL Phantoms.
