Later this week, I plan to write a blog looking at why I don't think the Flyers offense will necessarily drop off next season by nearly as much as some folks have predicted. Lot's of expectations for this guy. (Courtesy: ducks2nucks.blogspot.com)   We’ve seen much, much more change in the Flyers roster than any other team in our division.  Last year, we destroyed all of the other teams in the Atlantic, rolling up a 17-4-3 record. I have serious doubts about us having that kind of success in the upcoming season. I don’t know if or when the new group of players will really mesh and form a good team

The Flyers violated the NHL's Collective Bargaining Agreement when they signed free agent Max Talbot to a five-year, $9 million contract on Saturday, TSN.ca is reporting. According to the CBA in the final two years of a contract totaling at least four years, a team cannot pay a player less than half of what he is being paid in the first two years. Talbot agreed to a contract that pays him $2.5 million in 2011-12 and $2.25 million in 2012-213.
