Primes vs. Richie and Danny

If you've been following our All-Time Flyer series on CSNPhilly.com, you're aware we hit the 2000s last week. The competition was keenest between Chris Pronger and Kimmo Timonen as the fan favorite for this era on the blue line. What I thought was most telling was the competition at center among Keith Primeau, Mike Richards and Danny Briere

The San Francisco Shamrocks Ha!

Photo:

( The San Francisco Sharks take on the San Diego Mariners ) I think there was a real opportunity for me to become a really good dresser about 4 years ago, working at a financial services firm in midtown Manhattan. But seeing as that window has closed, and I'll probably be wearing whatever I've accumulated to this point for the next 5-10 years, the internet serves no real purpose for me. I don't cruise websites looking for great shirts, wondering if those pants would fit the same way my old ones do. Trying to find deals on shoes. Meltzer’s Musings: Ranking the Flyers Top 10 Prospects

If you had to rank the Flyers' top 10 prospects, would you put Brayden Schenn or Sean Couturier in the top spot? In terms of long-term potential, it will take years to know player makes a greater offensive impact. The draft-day buzz on Couturier was that his future role was likely closer to that of Jordan Staal (i.e. a shutdown defensive center with 50-point offensive ability) than Eric Staal

Meltzer’s Musings:Draft Regrets

The Flyers have drawn criticism over the last 15 years for their inability to draft talent (outside of the first round) that goes on to have significant NHL careers; at least not at the same rate as some of the other perennial contenders in the league. On the flip side, only twice in the history of the franchise has the club spent a first-round selection on a player who wound up never playing a si
