Jagr feeling better, but to sit again tonight due to groin issue

Flyers right wing Jaromir Jagr looked good in Monday’s morning skate, but will miss his second game tonight against Carolina due to a groin injury. Jagr plans to give his groin a good test in practice on Tuesday, and if he feels no tightness there, he’ll probably be back in the lineup for Wednesday’s road game against the New York Islanders. Jagr, by the way, used acupuncture to get rid of the pain in his groin, which was injured during the second of his three shifts last Thursday. Jagr’s spot in the lineup last Saturday was filled by Jody Shelley, who had been a healthy scratch for several times. One more thing about Jagr: He has a new look

Flyers show off Winter Classic jerseys

Flyers owner Ed Snider (left) and general manager Paul Holmgren show off the team's Winter Classic jerseys. PHILADELPHIA - The Flyers unveiled their Winter Classic jerseys Monday at a media function in the Phillies' locker room at Citizens Bank Park. Brayden Schenn and Blair Betts, two injured forwards, modeled the jerseys, which are orange and black with the traditional team logo on front plus a vintage look with laces. Different from the regular Flyers home jerseys are black shoulders.
