Bryz sets Flyers’ shutout-streak record

Bryz has passed Beezer. Hot goalie Ilya Bryzgalov rewrote the Flyers’ record book on Thursday night by breaking John Vanbiesbrouck’s franchise record for longest shutout streak. Coming in with three consecutive shutouts, Bryzgalov passed Vaniesbrouck at the 11:28 mark of the second period Thursday night against the New York Rangers. The old record was 227:40, set by Vanbiesbrouck in October 1999.
