Notes From Today’s Practice

LW Scott Hartnell spent much of Tuesday’s practice shooting one-timers into an empty net. Hartnell has gone four straight games without a shot and has just 14 goals this season after netting 30 a year ago. One reason, Hartnell acknowledged, is that he’s on pace for 173 shots this season, well off the 210 shots he recorded last year. “I haven’t chipped in as much as I’d like,” Hartnell said. “I want to start getting hot now and hopefully carry it into the playoffs.” LOOSE PUCKS The Flyers beat the Leafs 3-1 in their last meeting, but lost 4-0 in their last visit to Toronto. They have lost four straight road games and have gone 1-6-2 on the road since the Olympic break. … The Flyers missed the net on 10 of their opportunities Sunday and Laviolette said he wants to see his shooters “dial in” better on the scoring chances.
